How a car unlock works

Enter the registration for a quote, and say where the car is. We confirm the car is yours and that we can attend. Then we come to it and open it.

1. You send a quote

The quote form is open 24 hours, seven days. Enter the registration, the make and model if you know them, and a precise location: road, car park level, station, or site gate. Say whether the key is inside the car or somewhere else. The makes we unlock cover the cars and vans on UK roads.

2. We confirm two things

First, that we can get to that location. We work across the UK, and we agree the visit from the quote. Second, that you have the right to the vehicle. Before we open a vehicle we confirm you have the right to it. Bring photo ID, and whatever you have for the car: the V5C, an insurance schedule, a finance agreement, a hire agreement, or a fleet authority. If the paperwork is locked inside, say so on the quote form and we will tell you what we can accept on the day.

3. We come to the vehicle

You do not drive it to us, because you cannot. We open the door without breaking the glass, where the lock allows it. We tell you the price before we set off. We do not publish a price list.

What we will not do

We will not open a vehicle for someone who cannot show a right to it. We will not talk you through how to open a car yourself. We will not force a door or break glass as the method of getting in.
